After practicing medicine for a short time in Mexico, my home country, the Lord placed in my heart a desire to prepare myself for pastoral ministry. I moved to Los Angeles, California, in 2019 and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from The Master’s Seminary in 2022. During that time, I realized the importance of biblical counseling and the sufficiency of Scripture for everything pertaining to life and godliness (2 Pet. 1:3). I obtained certification from the ACBC (Association of Certified Biblical Counselors) and have served as a counselor, teacher, and speaker in various Spanish-speaking countries and churches.

However, the local church has been the most instrumental part of my preparation for ministry. The Lord has enabled me to serve on the pastoral care team at Grace en Español, coordinating the biblical counseling and music ministries, as well as regularly teaching and preaching the Word of God. This year, I completed a Doctor of Ministry degree with an emphasis in Biblical Counseling from The Master’s University. Recently, the Lord has progressively confirmed His call to serve Him as a missionary in León, Spain.

Why Spain?

Preaching the gospel in Spain presents a major challenge. In the face of the pragmatic secularism and integrationism present in many evangelical churches, the need for discipleship and biblical counseling has grown significantly. There is a great need to train pastors and local churches in pastoral counseling and biblical discipleship, affirming with conviction that the Word of God is sufficient “so that the man of God may be equipped, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Tim. 3:17).

The Lord has confirmed in my heart the desire to serve Him in Spain contributing to the spread of the gospel and the strengthening of the local church through the biblical training of pastors, leaders, and churches in the ministry of the Word, discipleship, and biblical counseling.

Goals

• Church Strengthening: Shepherding, leadership training primarily in biblical counseling, preaching, and teaching God's Word at Iglesia Evangelica Leon.
• Leadership Training: Equipping pastors to understand, explain, and apply the sufficient God’s Word through preaching and biblical counseling at Seminario Berea.
