We arrived in Winston-Salem, NC just after mid-September of 2024. Our church family immediately welcomed us with abundant love, and eagerness to serve. We walked into a little home walking distance from the church already fully furnished by the body, and stocked with plenty of food to last us days, if not months! We were invited to numerous gatherings for fellowship, and quickly plugged in to Bible studies, and discipleship groups.

Twin-City Bible church has been a partner church of ours since we first set out for the mission field years ago now in 2008/09, a season when our children were but 2 to 0 years of age, and one was still on the way. Though very thankful for their faithfulness to us from the beginning, admittedly our relationship from a distance, and from the short weekend visits we would make once every couple of years to the church, was certainly not what it is today. We are now experiencing Twin-City as our family, a model local assembly, well equipped at gathering regularly for the purpose of stimulating one another to love and good deeds.

I am personally enriched by my time with the pastors and elders of the church. My plate is full, filled with weekly meetings whether it be with all the staff pastors together, or individually, as well as meeting, and studying particular themes related to sanctification, and growth in Christ-likeness with senior pastor Carey Hardy. It is very humbling to reflect on the care given me by the numerous godly men in my midst, and the rich resources available to help in my continued pursuit of Christ.

 

Next Steps

We continue to trust God in this season of transition. The mission field still tugs at our hearts, and Italy, precisely. Yet our hope remains fixed upon Jesus Christ and His call for our lives. We trust Him completely for whatever future ministry He wants for us. We are gladly entrusting ourselves to the wisdom of the leadership of Twin-City for more specific plans, and their timing. Much gratitude to GMI for their continued support for us throughout this transition year. Praise to our Lord for all of our faithful supporters, numerous churches, and friends who have encouraged us, pray for us, and remain by our side. We are truly blessed.
