Interview with Joni Eareckson Tada

The last several years have been a fruitful and encouraging time for the Titus Two ministry as we have focused on studying God’s character and its practical implications for how believers should live. Two years ago, we began this journey by studying God’s sovereignty through the life of Jonah, and last year we looked at God’s faithfulness through the life of Ruth.

The 2023-2024 year was very special as we studied “Looking to Jesus through Christian Heroes,” seeing God’s character in the lives of treasured saints. The focus was on Christ’s love through the life of Susannah Spurgeon in September, then Christ’s grace in John Newton’s life in November, Christ’s glory, seen in the lives of John and Betty Stam in January, and then Christ’s provision in prayer in George Mueller’s life in March.

The Lord providentially provided direction through Dolores Michaelson in choosing the focus for our last meeting in May. Dolores is one of three founding members of Grace Church, along with her husband, Burton, and both are godly, faithful saints who have loved the Lord and His people deeply for more than 70 years.

It was Dolores’ enthusiastic suggestion to talk with a precious friend and living saint about God’s work in her life, and so we have the joy of presenting this video, “Christ’s Steadfastness through the Life of Joni Eareckson Tada.”

Joni will share her story with you in this video, and she would want you to know that, though she wouldn’t have initially chosen these specific circumstances in her life, she rejoices in the path that the Lord sovereignly designed for her and continues to draw near to her Savior each moment as He molds her into the image of Jesus Christ.

One of Joni’s greatest prayers is that she wants to be renewed more and more in Christ SO THAT many more may hear about Him. That’s our prayer as well in the Titus Two Ministry. May the Lord bless you through this testimony of His grace in Joni’s life.

“Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.… Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full” (Luke 14:21, 23, NIV).
